SAFETY FIRST

We prioritize your safety while you’re at the farm and ask that you do too! Please use your best judgement and only work on tasks you are comfortable doing.

A couple safety notes to keep in mind:

  • Please remember that we are a working farm and be aware of your surroundings for moving equipment and farm vehicles

  • Totes of apples may be 20 – 30 pounds, be careful lifting and ask for help if a tote is beyond your lifting ability

  • Dress appropriately for the weather & keep reading below for our recommendations

  • If you choose to use a ladder, have a partner hold it at the base

  • Make sure to drink water & take breaks when you need them

  • Please be aware that there may be bees and other insects around the fruit

We will ask all volunteers to sign a liability waiver when you arrive at the farm. If you would like to review a copy in advance, email us at hello@folklorwinecider.com.
